The Job & Career Accelerator database is available for all library patrons. Once you create a logon (all that is required is an e-mail address) you can: write a resume or cover letter, learn a computer program or computer skill, and explore different careers, as well as search for jobs, all without being assaulted by advertisements. The database, which contains over 5 million job listings, is compiled from classified ads, job boards, and websites; it is searchable by location, job title, or job skills. There are also tutorials about how to fill out a job application, how to do well on your interview, and how to organize your information to make you look as appealing as possible to your future employer. If you have any questions or need some assistance, please ask our staff at the front desk or call 667-3826 for additional information. A link to the database is provided below.
